Wedding section suggestion: Drinks Reception/Wedding breakfast

Style: Brazilian music (choro)

Original Artist: Waldir Azevedo

Choro is a Brazilian popular music style and Brasileirinho is one of the most succesful and well-known pieces within this style. It was written in 1947 by Waldir Azevedo, a very famous choro conductor, performer and composer who played the cavaqui–o, a small guitar-like instrument very typical in Brazilian music.

This arrangement is for two guitars which I play with my new duo I have formed with Jonathan Preiss, a friend and excellent guitarist who specialises in South American music.

This piece is lively with pleasant harmonies and so I think works best during the wedding breakfast when it's time to liven things up slightly or at the end of the drinks reception.
